October 2025

Hi Leaders,

2025 G50 camp is now just over a month away. Registrations are coming in and we can now start finalising our camp sites and Activity Schedule. (Unit Registration link) https://gilweroo.net.au/signup

Our 2025 Camp will have a selection of new activities along with bringing back one of our long time activities in “Max the Magician” on the Saturday.

This year, we are arranging to have all the regular information that you receive on Friday night in your Unit Bags to be listed onto our website by November 14th. Please ensure you read this information prior to your arrival.

The Elmore Events Centre entry will be the same as last year, but our traffic flow will be different. You will be directed by our Scout 4x4 Security team upon arrival, a Map will also be added to our website.

Cars dropping Scouts off will be directed to the temporary car park. Vehicles with trailers will be directed to camp sites. Your trailer will be allowed to stay on site and be parked in the No Pegs Area (this is where the power and water lines run) located at the rear or in the middle of larger sites. For safety, all trailers are required to have axle stands positioned at the rear of the trailer.

We have a site map which lists all drinking water taps available. You may connect a hose provided you have fitted a splitter connection to allow the tap available for others to use. Any hose connected without a splitter will be removed and available for collection 2 hours after the camp is dismissed.

Our special G50 design Polo Shirt is available to be ordered via the link: https://pci.jotform.com/form/252017250151846 - Shirts are $35 each. Unfortunately, any ordered shirts from now will not be available pre camp and will need to be posted out as per the order form once available (postage is $10 per 10 shirts).

Activities will again be set up in 45 minute slots. 3-4 activities per time slot, except for Air Rifles. Saturday will include a 45 minute lunch break, same as last year. Saturday night the movie will run once dark and of course, the Disco will run from 7:00pm to 10:30pm in the large green shed.

Leaders, you will be allocated an Activity to either run, manage or assist over the full weekend, not just for an hour or two. Without your efforts, there will be no activity.

If you intend to camp as a District or with other Groups. We are happy to allocate a number of campsites together. Just let us know in the comments sections of your registration.

If you are a Service Leader or Rover coming without a unit please use the following registration link: https://gilweroo.net.au/signup/service and the Venturer registration form link is: https://gilweroo.net.au/signup/venturer

August 2025

Gilweroo G50 Activity Camp is less than four months away, so now after receiving 45 units completing their Interest to Attend form, it is time to open up our bookings for this year’s camp: https://gilweroo.net.au/signup

We will once again be offering Units five free entries to camp if your Unit has registered their interest or registered by August 31st. We will be offering another five if you have registered by September 30th. https://form.jotform.com/243107960747865

Our camping area will be changing from 2024, as Elmore Events Centre has a major horse event running over the same weekend. Therefore, our vehicle movement on site will change as well. Further details of traffic management will be posted on our Facebook, Instagram page and our Website: https://gilweroo.net.au/leader-info

To help make our G50 Camp a special weekend, we are adding some new activities as well as bringing back a couple of old ones. Unfortunately, as our camp fees have not increased since pre-covid (2018), we are now forced to make this year’s camp fee $75 per youth. Leaders, Helpers, Rovers and Venturers still remain free of charge.

Our team is designing a special Gilweroo G50 polo shirt that will be available to order soon. With collection at Camp or posted for a small fee. The form will be on our Website soon.

If you intend to camp as a District or with other Groups. We are happy to allocate a number of campsites together. Just let us know in the comments sections of your registration.
